Braving the unbearably cold winter temperatures, Blake Lively was spotted milling around the New York City set of “Gossip Girl” on February 1.
The “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” babe relied on a full-length black down-filled parka as she walked past the paparazzi along with her publicist Leslie Sloane.
As for her gig “The Private Lives of Pippa Lee,” Blake confessed that she was quite intimidated to work with Maria Bello and Julianne Moore.
“I was honestly terrified. I hadn’t slept that much, and all I wanted that day was for Maria to say, ‘Wow, great job’. And when she didn’t say anything to me, I thought, oh, my gosh, I’m terrible. She hates it. She’s calling her agent, saying, ‘What have you gotten me into?’”
“But once we finished filming, she was so complimentary and sweet. The way Maria worked was very method, and then [co-star] Julianne Moore was the complete opposite - between takes, she was a nice, normal mom talking about her kid’s baseball games. Then you would call ‘Action’, and suddenly she’s playing this creepo photographer! It freaked me out.”

Blake Lively and Penn Badgley: “Gossip Girl” Mates

Making out to be a busy day on the set of “Gossip Girl,” Blake Lively and Penn Badgley were spotted hard at work on Monday (January 18).
With Sebastian Stan also on-hand, the three co-stars seemed quite focused as they cruised through their scenes on the New York City set, taking only short breaks in between filming obligations.
Meanwhile, Ms Lively recently landed a new movie gig, starring opposite Ryan Reynolds in a superhero film called “Green Lantern.”
Blake will play Carol Ferris, who runs her dad’s aerospace company and falls for Hal Jordan/Green Lantern, a man who is chosen to become a kind of intergalactic policeman with a ring of power.

Blake Lively: “Gossip Girl” on Madison Ave

Getting back to work on her hit CW drama, Blake Lively was busy on the set of “Gossip Girl” in New York City on January 12.
Decked out in her stylish attire, the Serena van der Woodsen sweetheart boogied on down Madison Avenue as the cameras followed her every move.
Aside from her “Gossip Girl” work, Blake recently filmed the upcoming Ben Affleck directed movie “The Town” in Boston, MA.
Talking about Blake’s audition, Ben recalls, “This girl came in, and no one had said to me beforehand, ‘Hey, look for this person.’ And obviously she was really attractive, and so I thought, Oh, here comes some blond girl. She came in, did one reading, and just crushed it.”
Continuing with his praise, Affleck also mentioned being impressed with her east coast accent, telling, “I was sort of stunned. I said, ‘Jeez, you know, that was really f—king good. Who are you?’ She didn’t mention that she was on a television show.”

"Gossip Girl" star Blake Lively hates filming sex scenes, because she finds it uncomfortable to fake passion for the cameras. The actress appears in an intimate moment in Ben Affleck's new feature film "The Town", but insists the scene is far from "steamy" because she is "pretty much crying" throughout.
She tells Esquire magazine, "I have a sex scene in this film and that's never comfortable. You think, 'Oh, that's going to be so awkward'. But this scene isn't supposed to be a steamy one - it's sort of tragic ... I'm pretty much crying in it." ... Read More ...

Enjoying a break from work duties, Blake Lively was spotted out shopping with a few friends in the Meatpacking District of New York City on Friday (January 8).
Joking around with her pals while strolling down the Big Apple street, the “Gossip Girl” beauty grabbed up a chocolate milk on the go as she picked up a few new additions for her wardrobe.
The sighting comes just as it has been announced that Blake has nabbed the female lead to star alongside Ryan Reynolds in “Green Lantern”.
According to Variety reports, the “Green Lantern” will begin filming in March, with a release date slated for June of 2011.

Gossip Girl Stars: Chilly in NYC

Cranking out a new episode of their hit show, the stars of “Gossip Girl” were spotted on location in Uptown Manhattan on January 7.
Blake Lively, Penn Badgley, and Jessica Szohr all reported for duty despite the recent drop in temperatures in the Big Apple.
And of course, all three CW stars were provided with plenty of winter wear to keep warm in between scenes while the paparazzi looked on.
Coming up very soon, “Gossip Girl” will be returning with all new episodes filled with plenty of sexual tension and drama.

Blake Lively in the running for Green Lantern role

 Gossip Girl actress Blake Lively is set to star in the new comic book superhero movie, Green Lantern.
The 22-year-old blonde star is being lined-up to play the love interest of the main character Hal Jordan - who is played by Ryan Reynolds.
However, Blake reportedly faces stiff competition for the part as Jennifer Garner, Diane Kruger and Eva Green are also in the running.
A source said: "Blake would be amazing in this role. She has a busy 2010 promoting The Town, but she would love to play a part in a superhero film."
Green Lantern tells the story of Hal Jordan, an ordinary man chosen by an alien to receive an energy ring that can be used to protect the planet.
Filming is due to begin in 2010, with a rumoured summer 2011 release date.
Martin Cambell, who previously worked on Casino Royale, is to direct the movie, leading some to speculate that former Bond girl Eva may be his choice for the role.
