Blake Glams Up Hot Hollywood Party

She’s one of the hottest up-and-coming actresses in the industry, and last night Blake Lively was spotted having a marvelous time at the US Weekly Hot in Hollywood Issue Celebration last night (October 21).
The “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” cutie gave a big smile to the paparazzi as she made her way inside, sporting a black and white striped button-up shirt with a black vest, black trousers, and maroon heels.
Blake recently returned to NYC following a trip home to Los Angeles to visit her hospitalized father. Ernie Lively was seriously injured in a car accident on October 13th, but it sounds like he’s on the road to recovery.
Of course, Blake was on the first flight home when she heard the news. A family friend revealed, “They are as close as any father and daughter could be — she was beside herself when she got this horrible news. Her dad taught her everything.”
Lively’s business partner and cousin Harold Smith told press, “He’s doing much better. His wife Elaine just called to say they’ve moved him to a regular room.”
Beginning yet another work week, Blake Lively and Penn Badgley were spotted on their way to work on the set of Gossip Girl earlier today (October 20).
The on/off-screen sweethearts looked focused for their upcoming day of filming scenes, with Blake sporting a grey overcoat as she cuddled her puppy pal, while Penn opted for a grey sweater, dark trousers, and matching slip-on shoes.
A bit later, co-star Jessica Szohr also arrived on the set, smiling for the paparazzi as she made her way inside the Queens Silvercup Studios location.
And for all of you “Gossip Girl” fans out there, it’s time for an all-new episode, airing tonight on the CW Network!

Ernie Lively, 61, was taken to hospital and treated for back, arm and lung injuries - but he has been given the all clear by doctors.
The Gossip Girl star's mum Elaine tells Us Weekly magazine, "He's going to make a full recovery, thankfully. It was a horrific accident.
"He swerved to miss a car and his car tumbled down an embankment."
Lively, who dashed to the Los Angeles area hospital from New York after hearing of the accident, acted alongside her father in The Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants movies. He played her screen father in the films.
Initial reports suggested Lively had broken his back, but his wife insists, "It is far less serious than we thought... We are just happy he is going to be OK."

"Sad news.
On Monday, Ernie Lively, Blake Lively's actor father was seriously injured in a car crash.
According to Star Magazine, Blake made a frantic flight from New York to Los Angeles to be at the hospital bedside of her dad.
Ernie suffered a broken back as well as arm and nose in the accident.
The elder Lively starred alongside his lovely daughter in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. He's also had roles on West Wing and The Ghost Whisperer.
A source told the mag, "It was pretty bad — he's lucky to be alive."
Blake is reportedly very close to her father and was 'beside herself' when she received the news.
The family insider said, "They are as close as any father and daughter could be… Her dad taught her everything."

The “Gossip Girl” gals were out in full force on Friday afternoon (October 10), filming a new episode of their hit CW drama in the Upper East Side of New York City.
Always stylish, Leighton Meester teamed up with Taylor Momsen to shoot a few scenes, while co-star Blake Lively was also spotted roaming around the set.
Meanwhile, it sounds as if the cast of “Gossip Girl” is going to be getting a few additions - with three new characters slated to be involved in multi-episode roles.
Reports tell that “Wallace Shawn has been cast as Cyrus Rose, father of Serena’s upcoming love interest Aaron Rose (John Patrick Amedori).”
The other new additions are Wade Allain-Marcus, who will play a photographer named Max, and Stella Maeve, who will star as Emma, the teen daughter of a Yale University alumni who Blair gets to babysit. Source: celebrity-gossip.net

Gossip Girl had an other amazing episode this week and it did great in rating too with over 3.5 million viewers! Yay! We added the CAPS HERE & here goes the plot for next week's episode with the so anticipated Serena-Blair catfight:
"New Haven Can Wait": Blair, Serena, Dan, Nate and Chuck go to Yale. After Blair and Serena get into a fight, Serena decides to get even with Blair, who has always dreamed of going to Yale, by going to Yale instead of going to Brown as planned and accepting the Dean of Yales private invitation to the campus. Dan discovers that none of his recommendation letters for Yale were sent, he tries to figure out a way of getting into the school. Also Chuck is kidnapped by a group of Skull and Bones members and Nate hooks up with a co-ed.
