This Batman blockbuster "The Dark Knight" topped the North American box office for the fourth week in a row, final figures showed Monday, with its record haul topping 441.6 million dollars. It is the first time since 2003's "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" that a film has led the box-office on for four consecutive weekends.
The ongoing success of "The Dark Knight" meant marijuana comedy "Pineapple Express" had to be content with second place in its opening weekend. The Seth Rogen-starring film about a pothead who witnesses a murder -- but leaves a bit of his identifiable stash at the scene, giving a lead to the bad guys -- earned 23.2 million for the period.

Clumsy BLAKE LIVELY caused all sorts of problems on the set of movie sequel THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING PANTS 2 - by crashing a moped and stepping on a sea urchin, reports ContactMusic.
The actress was shooting the film in Santorini, Greece and admits her slip-ups and injuries became a running joke among the cast and crew. She recalls, "I crashed a moped on the first day of shooting into (co-star) America (Ferrera) and into an ancient stone wall.
"I also jumped off a cliff and while I was crawling out (of the sea) - while I had a gimp knee - I stepped on a sea urchin and got, like, 42 sea urchin needles lodged in my foot."
Lively recalls castmate Amber Tamblyn had a strange way of helping her pal deal with the pain: "Because I was in so much pain and they didn't have any pain medication there, she was hitting me in the head while the doctor was taking them out. "She was like, 'That's what they do to dogs.
Blake Lively tries to ignore rumors

Don't mess with Penny.
That's Blake Lively's response to photos that surfaced in June of the Gossip Girl star walking outside in Manhattan with a suspicious stain on her brown minidress. The culprit rumored to be responsible for the mark? Lively's 3-year-old malti-poo, Penny, whom she carries everywhere.
In fact, Lively blames herself.
"I spilled something on my dress. I didn't want it to stain, so I stuck my dress under the sink and was running out the door," says the actress, 20. "I'm holding Penny, and every magazine prints that Penny peed on me. It wasn't Penny!" ... Read More ...

Her relationship with Gossip Girl co-star Penn Badgley was fodder for the paparazzi, which intensified when they first denied the romance.
The two recently confirmed they're a couple, but the photo opportunism continues -- with no sign of letting up.

Amber Tamblyn, America Ferrera, Blake Lively and Alexis Bledel are embroiled in a good-natured argument about a mo-ped accident.
Apparently, the quartet of talented young actresses got into a mo-ped crash on the first day of shooting their new film, "Sisterhood of Traveling Pants 2.” Minutes into a news conference at the Loews Regency Hotel, playful accusations bounce around the table.
"It was Amber's fault,” Ferrera starts.
"Right, it was my fault, even though Blake was in the back,” Tamblyn defends.
"Which I already tried to say yesterday that it was my fault,” Lively says. "But Amber totally started it.”
"Well, it was a domino effect,” Bledel intervenes.

The secrets of the 'Sisterhood'

CNN came to the junket for "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2" to ask questions of stars Amber Tamblyn, America Ferrera, Alexis Bledel and Blake Lively.
Tamblyn decided to turn the tables. "What's it like to work with Sanjay Gupta?" she asked. "What's it like to work with Anderson Cooper?"
Well, the thing is, not everyone at CNN gets to work with Cooper and Dr. Gupta, so we couldn't give her colorful answers. But Tamblyn didn't mind. She just wanted to show she's a fan. "CNN is my MTV," she said. We appreciate the enthusiasm.
The four actresses are justifiably enthusiastic about their own careers. All four have starred in past or current TV shows: Tamblyn in "Joan of Arcadia," Ferrera in "Ugly Betty," Bledel in "Gilmore Girls" and Lively in "Gossip Girl." It's another bond between the women, who characterize each other as friends.

Soundtrack to highly anticipated summer sequel features a brand-new original song from Michelle Branch and music from Cyndi Lauper, Hot Hot Heat, Missy Higgins, and Eric Hutchinson
Warner Bros. Records will release the original soundtrack to Alcon Entertainment and Alloy Entertainment’s new film THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING PANTS 2, on August 5th, one day before the movie, hits theaters nationwide.
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 – Soundtrack features music by Cyndi Lauper, Missy Higgins, Craig David, Hot Hot Heat and Eric Hutchinson, whose song "Rock & Roll" will be the first single off the album. Hot on the trail of a certain hunky pop star, the Jonas Brothers took home six ceremonial surfboards Sunday at the 10th Annual Teen Choice Awards, aka TC08, giving the fraternal rockers just 15 more to go until they match Justin Timberlake's grand total of 21 collected over the last decade.
More than 30 million Internet-savvy youngsters, preferably between the ages of 13 and 19, deemed the dapper trio Choice Breakout Band, Male Hotties and Male Red Carpet Icons, as well as the purveyors of the Choice Single ("When You Look Me in the Eyes," beating out Timberlake), Summer Song ("Burnin' Up") and Love Song ("When You Look Me in the Eyes").
Joe, Nick and Kevin's tally was matched only by the CW's teen soap with claws Gossip Girl, which also notched six wins (on a bedpost, naturally): Choice TV Drama, Breakout Show, breakout acting nods for Chace Crawford and Blake Lively (who was also named best actress in a drama) and top villain for the diabolical Ed Westwick.
